Gifts of the Heart: Exploring the Heart Chakra

There are many ways to help support a healthy and vibrant 4th chakra. Stretching for the chest, upper back and arms will help create space, more movement of energy and release of tension in the area. Exercise that get the heart pumping and improves respiratory function are also helpful. Massage, such as our upper body release half hour session can be a great heart chakra tune-up. We also offer chakra balancing sessions her at Blooming Massage. We have therapists trained in energy healing and specialize in support of the bodies chakra systems.

The heart chakra or Anahata is located in the chest area around the heart, from the shoulders to the diaphragm and including the arms. This chakra is also referred to as the 4th chakra in the body. It governs the physical and emotional centers involving love, joy, inner peace and the abilities of altruism, giving and receiving. When you hear the phrases “Heart centered” or “opening your heart” this is the energy center we are talking about. A phrase for a healthy heart chakra would be, “I am giving and receiving love effortlessly and unconditionally.”

Essential oils can be another strong tool to support the heart chakra. Doterra’s joyful blend “Elevation” is a great options for boosting an underachieve heart chakra, while Melaleuca (tea tree oil) or their calming blend “Balance” helps calm and soothe the heart chakra. Also oils that support the heart, respiratory system and nervous system will also be supportive. We have several therapist trained in essential oils and aromatherapy at Blooming Massage that can help you find the right essential oils to support your wellness needs. In particular, Dayna and Diana, are our therapists trained in the AromaTouch Technique that includes a sequence of essential oils and application techniques to support the body and emotional wellbeing.
